Each division has its own report — manager decision costs, run-differential bars, recent form, and the full optimal-lineup breakout.

How to read this

  • RD — run differential, runs scored minus runs allowed, season to date.
  • RA/G — runs allowed per game, the staff run-prevention number. It's a total-runs figure (not earned-run ERA), so it folds in defense and bullpen meltdowns the same way the scoreboard does.
  • Opt / ΔR — the optimal-lineup counterfactual. We total each team's lineup-card cost (runs left on the table by sub-optimal batting orders), divide by 10 to convert runs to wins, and flip that many losses to wins: winsFlip = round(seasonLineupCost / 10). ΔR is how the team's rank would move within its division under that snapshot. It's a snapshot, not a game-by-game replay — the season-long version is future work.
