Red Sox Claw Back From Four Down, Walk Off in 13 to Top White Sox

Boston trailed 4-0 before the third inning was over, and the Red Sox spent the next ten innings proving that score wrong.
Chicago White Sox second baseman Chase Meidroth put his team up 2-0 in the top of the third with a two-run homer to left center, and a Colson Montgomery single — aided by a throwing error — pushed it to 4-0 before Boston had answered. That was the hole: four runs, early.
Boston catcher Connor Wong started the climb in the bottom of the third, sending a two-run homer to left that made it 4-2. The Red Sox cut it further in the bottom of the fourth — shortstop Andruw Monasterio's double to right scored Caleb Durbin to pull it to 5-3, and then Boston catcher Anthony Seigler lined a double to right that scored Masataka Yoshida and Monasterio, tying it at 5-5.
Chicago answered in the top of the fifth to go back ahead 7-5, and the Red Sox chipped away again: DH Masataka Yoshida doubled home Durbin in the bottom of the sixth to make it 7-6, then right fielder Wilyer Abreu singled home Eli White in the bottom of the ninth to tie it at 7-7.
Meidroth's second homer of the day, a two-run shot in the top of the 10th, put Chicago back up 9-7. Boston's win probability sat at 12.4% trailing by two in the bottom of the 10th, but Monasterio doubled home Abreu to make it 9-8, and Seigler's sacrifice fly scored Jahmai Jones to tie it again at 9-9.
The teams kept trading leads through extra innings — Chicago went up 10-9 on a Colson Montgomery sac fly in the 11th, Boston tied it on an Abreu sacrifice fly; Chicago went up 11-10 on a Sam Antonacci single in the 12th, Boston tied it on a Jake Rogers sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th.
In the bottom of the 13th, Red Sox third baseman Caleb Durbin singled to center, scoring Nick Sogard. Boston 12, Chicago 11.
